The Genesis Narrative: A Journey from Darkness to Creation
In the commencement of creation, God saw that the world was without form and void; darkness covered the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved over the waters. Then, God spoke, "Let there be light!" And suddenly/instantly there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He divorced it from the darkness. God named the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And so/indeed was an evening and a morning, the first day.
On the second day, God created the expanse to separate the waters from the waters. On the third day, He assembled the waters into one place, and the dry earth appeared. And God saw that it was good. Then God made plants of all kinds to grow on the land—grass, shrubs, bearing fruit with seed, and trees yielding fruit according to their kinds. And God recognized that it was Seed divine good.
And thus, from light to land, God’s creative work unfolded in a majestic and wondrous display.
